Unlike other designer shoes, Gucci slides fit perfectly. This is from personal experience as well as reviews posted online by other customers.
However, there are two things you need to know about Gucci slides fitting. If you are going to wear them with socks, get a size bigger.
And if you are going to wear them barefoot, a size smaller will ensure it fits snuggly and doesn’t slip off easily.
Because it’s made of leather, Gucci slides will take about two weeks to break in. The more you wear your slides the sooner the leather will mold to your feet.

Do Gucci Slides Run True to Size?
Gucci’s shoe sizing has been pretty much straightforward ever since they started manufacturing footwear. I own a pair of Gucci loafers and slides.
And with both shoes, I didn’t experience any sizing or fitting issues. Also from my research, there have been very few cases of getting the wrong shoe size as long as you order the correct number.
And even if you do this by mistake, most Gucci outlets have an easy and quick return policy. For instance, my shoe size is 7.5. My Gucci slides are size 8 and they fit me perfectly.
I ordered a bigger number because, at the moment, I loved wearing slides with socks. I do find myself putting them on barefoot and they still fit me perfectly.
But, I have worn them for 6 months now and the shoe has already conformed to my feet’s size and shape.
What Size of Gucci Slides Should You Buy?
When it comes to Gucci shoe sizing, the insole length is the most crucial thing to familiarize yourself with. A lot of us pay more attention to the outsole length without acknowledging the importance of insole length.
Don’t forget that the insole size matters most because that’s where our feet lie on. To know the right size of Gucci slides you should buy, measure your feet in centimeters.
You can use a tape measure or a ruler. From the measurement you get, it’s always advisable to buy a size bigger either by 1 0r 0.5 cm.
Slides aren’t like heels that need to fit exactly. That extra room is important. And that’s why you should go half a size bigger. That way, you don’t get a size that’s too big nor too tight.
How Do I Know the Insole Measurement of Gucci Slides?
For starters, you can convert the shoe size number into centimeters. Using online shoe size charts for both men and women, you can confirm where your foot length lies in the chart.
For instance, in my case, I wear shoe size number 7.5 that translates to 24.8 cm. My ideal insole size should range from 24.8 cm to 25.2 cm.
If this seems like too much work, there is an easier alternative. Most Gucci slides retailers are always willing to offer any form of customer support.
If the insole measurement isn’t available online on the product’s description, you can always contact the seller and ask for that information.
Depending on how busy the store is, they should get back to you in not more than 24 hours.
What If My Feet and Narrow or Wide?
It may seem that you know all there is about Gucci slides fitting. But before you hit that ‘order now’ button, there is something else you need to confirm; how wide or narrow are your feet?
The good thing about having either narrow or wide feet is that you don’t need to go a size down or up. And fortunately, Gucci is aware that people have different types of feet.
Will My Well-Fitting Gucci Slides Be Comfortable?
We all know that designer shoes don’t disappoint when it comes to style and quality. However, if it’s footwear we are talking about, then we must also assess the level of comfort.
Now, these fancy slides from Gucci are comfortable to walk on for short distances. As long as you get the right fit, this is the best shoe for an evening stroll at the beach or in your neighborhood.
It’s also the perfect weekend wear when going out with your friends. Paired with sweatpants and a pair of shorts, Gucci slides are popular summer shoes that will help you make a fashion statement.
I don’t recommend Gucci slides to be worn for long-distance walks as I find the straps to be quite tight especially when they are new. Also, if you order a size up and don’t put them on with some socks, they may slip off easily.
What about Durability?
It would be all in vain if you struggle so hard to find a well-fitting slide only for it to lose shape in just a couple of months. Well, this isn’t the case with Gucci slides.
It’s in the public domain that Gucci invests a lot of time and effort in creating quality merchandise. The original slides from Gucci are made of leather and a strong sole.
Even with regular use, Gucci slides should last for more than 5 years. Of course, the sole may wear with time, but the shoe will remain intact.
Please be informed that your slides may not last that long if you put them through a lot of abuse and don’t take proper care of them.
These slides are mostly used just to ‘flex’ on your friends and family. They are not to be used for outdoor activities such as gardening or hiking.
Beware of Knockoffs (They are Likely Not to Fit You Properly)
Being one of the few companies that have heavily struggled with imitations, the number of fake Gucci slides that exist out there is quite high.
As a result, buyers should be aware of this and avoid knockoffs at all costs. Buying fake Gucci slides won’t only rip you off your hard-earned money, but you may also get a pair that doesn’t run true to size.
Most knockoffs are made by backstreet manufacturers that don’t prioritize quality and technologies that ensure shoes fit the customers accordingly.
Here are some tips on how you can make sure your slides are authentic Gucci products:
- Buy your slides from reputable Gucci retailers. Doing this guarantees that you will get the right size and an original pair of slides. These retailers are also more likely to accept a return if the slides don’t fit you well.
- Know how the packaging should look like. Gucci slides should arrive in the iconic Gucci box which should be white, black, or brown.
- The Gucci label needs to be authentic and includes a serial number, description, model name, size, and color. In the box, there should also be a piece of paper including all this information.
- Confirm the material is of high quality. This is the easiest way for you to differentiate between an original Gucci slides with a fake one. If the material used is plastic and not leather, that should immediately tell you it’s a knockoff.
- If you are considering buying Gucci, know how the original stripes look like. So before placing an order, confirm if the picture of the slides is in sync with Gucci’s iconic stripes.
- Know when the price is too good to be true. A smart shopper should always research the prices of Gucci slides from different retailers. And if a certain vendor has an extremely low price, think twice before getting your slides from them.
How Should Your Gucci Slides Fit?
The rule of thumbs when it comes to fitting Gucci slides is that your whole foot should fit within the sole of your sandals when you stand upright. Your slides are small if you experience the following;
- Toes hanging over the front part
- The heel protruding at the back
- Feeling of discomfort when wearing them
- The straps digging into your feet
A pair of well-fitting Gucci slides should accommodate your foot adequately at the front, middle, and back.
The straps shouldn’t be suffocating your foot. Instead, there should be enough room for circulation in the area around the straps.
To avoid any issues associated with size, I recommend buying Gucci slides in person. The advantage of doing this is that you can try the slides before buying them.
You can walk, sit and stand to see if the shoes are a perfect fit. As you try to fit a new pair, be aware of the fact that slides need breaking in.
So they won’t perfectly fit you at first, but with time, the shoe will conform to the shape of your feet.
Don’t Be Afraid of a Larger Slide Size
If this is your first pair of slides then you need to know that these types of shoes are different from sandals. With Gucci slides, you don’t have to worry about your feet appearing bigger than they are when you go with a larger size.
Going up a size or at least a half a size will ensure there is enough wiggle room and it will be more comfortable for you to walk without feeling discomfort or pain.
